4th of July Party Prep
What’s better than throwing some burgers and hot dogs on the grill to celebrate the 4th of July with family and friends? Throwing some burgers and hot dogs on the grill that’s been cleaned spotless with an AR Blue Clean pressure washer, that’s what.
The first step for throwing the 4th of July party of the year is to get your patio and grill looking spotless.
Pressure Washing Your Patio
You might not realize it, but patio surfaces often have a caked on layer of grime, which can cause discoloration. While your patio may look “okay” after giving it a good sweeping, now is the time to take it to the next level.
For a task like cleaning your patio, we recommend using a machine like the AR383SS. This model has 1900 PSI worth of power, making it a perfect choice for residential uses that require a machine light enough to carry with ease, but also deliver a spray capable of eliminating years grime build-up.
Stone and concrete are common surfaces for patios and need to be handled carefully, otherwise you might end up damaging the surface.
First: Rinse your patio in order to prep the surface. Rinsing creates a protective layer that helps to prevent your detergent from getting into the pores on your patio.
Second: Use a detergent with a low-pressure stream and let it sit for five-to-ten minutes.
Third: Rinse the detergent off with a mid-to-low pressure nozzle, but make sure not to hold the nozzle too close because it could damage the surface.
Pressure washing machines are powerful, so it’s best to air on the side of caution when picking the intensity-level of your stream. High-pressure nozzles can leave streaks by cutting into the surface of the concrete and stone.
Patio Cleaner with Chemical Bottle
If you’re looking to take your cleaning experience even further, what you need is our special Patio Cleaner with Chemical Bottle accessory for your pressure washer. This Patio Cleaner can help clean surfaces up-to 15 times faster than a standard wand on its own.
Cleaning Your Grill With A Pressure Washer
Repeated use, scorching hot temperatures, charred grease and fat; those are some of the factors can lead to a dirty grill.
No worries though, it’s nothing an AR Blue Clean pressure washer can’t handle.
And believe us….we’ve tried it!
First: Take off any propane tanks and natural gas lines that may be connected. Also, make sure that there isn’t anything electric plugged in nearby. You’ll be using a much more powerful nozzle for your grill, so some spray back is a strong possibility.
Second: If you want to make your life a lot easier, you should use degreaser and let it sit for five minutes. Then try going after the easy-to-remove surface build-up with a mid-range power nozzle. The 45 degree nozzle should do the trick.
Third: It’s time to switch to the more powerful nozzle to really blast away the grease and grime. This is where the Turbo Nozzle Lance comes in. Remember to not hold the nozzle too close to the grill since water at very high-pressure can even scratch metal.Goggles are recommended.
Fourth: Once the grill is free of build-up, give it a once over with the nozzle to ensure it’s spotless. Make sure you let the grill dry off completely before using it next.
Pressure Washer Brush Kit
If time is of the essence, we suggest adding our pressure washer Brush Kit to help speed things up. This kit comes with Utility and Gear Driven Rotary Brush accessories, as well as five different adapters that make it compatible with different pressure washer brands. The perfect pressure washer accessory for scrubbing grills and other objects that require a deep clean.
